Before we meet, I want to get to know you and your vision for the photoshoot.
Every package includes location, styling, and posing guidance because I want you to feel confident in yourself and in my ability to capture you at your best.
This can be done by direct messaging, over the phone, or facetime.
At the start of your photoshoot, I will make sure you’re photo-ready. In other words, I’ll tell you if you have lipstick on your teeth!
Once we’re ready,
I’ll guide you into natural poses and encourage you to allow movement. Most importantly, I want your photos to feel like your own. If you have any ideas you want to try, I love to hear them!
After our photoshoot, I download the photos, select the best, then curate an album that tells your story.
Next I edit the photos in Adobe Photoshop: for me this means adjusting light, colors, and removing distractions from each image. This part takes the most amount of time depending on the needed changes.
When your gallery is complete I upload and send your album digitally in high resolution with additional options to print.
planning our photoshoot
When planning a photoshoot, we’ll consider a few aspects that really make the photos.
The first is lighting: The time of day that you take portraits is completely reliant on the angle of the sun each day. For soft, glowing light, or “golden hour,” we should aim for about an hour after sunrise or before sunset.
Next is location. This will play a major role in setting the scene. We can stroll on the beach, through a garden, in a forested park, in an open field, or even cozy at home for an indoor session.
Last, is the storyline. Most would agree that candid photos are the best. This is why I encourage fun activities like exploring, picnicing, dancing, having a paint party, picking apples in the orchard, carving pumpkins, etc. Not only will you end the day with beautiful photos to look back on, but also a wonderful memory to go along with them.

Event
Working with Kira was so great! I asked her to take photos during my daughter’s sip & see, and she went above and beyond. She took beautiful photos, both posed and candid, of all of my guests. And when I say beautiful, I mean BEAUTIFUL. Gorgeous portraits that I cannot wait to hang up around my home. She was very prompt with delivery as well; she sent a sneak peek that night and then the rest of the pictures less than a week later. I will definitely keep using Kira for our events!

Kira was amazing at capturing our engagement! Not only did she take amazing photos but she recorded the moment as well. As we have showed our family and friends these moments they have had nothing but kind words to share.

Maternity
We had a lovely experience working with Kira. She took my vague and confused ideas and turned them into actual, stunning photographs that I’ll be very happy to have for perpetuity. I was extremely impressed with the photo quality, and the shoot was comfortable as well. Looking forward to working with Kira again.

My first wedding was in Pensacola, FL in 2019. I really enjoyed it and will always think of them as huge contributors to the start of my business. Thank you Rachel and Cody! Besides weddings, I’ve been practicing photography since 2017.
New England weather has the tendency to change in a matter of minutes. If possible, we will reschedule for the next day or week. If the date is immovable we can either try an indoor location or simply brave the rain and have your “Notebook” moment. Worst-case scenario, if you need to cancel the session due to weather and inability to reschedule you will get a full refund of any payments made.
For sessions under 2 hours sneak peaks are sent the next day and the rest within 2 weeks. For events 3+ hours I send sneak peaks the next day and the rest within 4 weeks.
I send photos via Pic-Time in a high resolution online gallery. From there I recommend clients download the photos to their device as well as backed up on a USB or disc.
There are additional options to print which I encourage, because there’s something extra special about seeing a photo “in person.”
After selecting the best photos, my process includes but is not limited to: straightening, cropping, basic beauty enhancements, removing blemishes, and distractions, light adjustments, texture adjustments, and color grading.
In short: not usually.
RAW photos are large, unedited files that require editing software to process. Editing and processing the photos is an integral part of my work. I might have a vision for a photo that you wouldn’t otherwise see in a RAW. If you are unhappy with the results I welcome you to ask for adjustments- These are your photos after all and I want you to love them!
All that being said, after discussing my conditions I will give RAWs to clients that specifically ask for them.
